It's that time of year when the elk rut begins in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. During this annual mating season, hear the unforgettable bugle of majestic bull elk and watch them spar across open meadows and valleys. Join us for a scenic driving tour through some of Estes Park's best-known elk viewing areas. We'll first stop downtown, where you'll have time to enjoy an early dinner and browse the local shops at your leisure. Afterwards, we'll set out in search of elk and other wildlife. With a little luck, the fall colors may be at their peak as well! Elk sightings are not guaranteed.
