Bird Banding - 753018

Migration at Barr Lake is a magical time of year! Join us for a unique opportunity to experience science in action and observe a wildlife biologist banding and collecting important scientific data on live, migrating birds. The data collected gives us insight into many aspects of avian life history and can be used to inform conservation decisions. All banding, marking, and sampling is being conducted under a federally authorized Bird Banding Permit issued by the U.S. Geological Survey. Be prepared to walk 1-mile. Pack a lunch to be enjoyed at the lake.
